I have known Caroline for many years now, as a rider, friend and trainer. She excels at all three. I’ve trained with her, cross country and show jumping on a number of different horses; few of which have been simple – and I know I am also rather challenging myself!
My confidence was a real issue and I relied on rescue remedy and whatever could go in a hipflask before contemplating jumping! Through her patience and understanding my self belief has grown and I feel happy and secure tackling whatever she asks of me and have entered my first BE100 to continue the season at this and even contemplating a novice for the end of next year or sooner knowing Caroline!!
Caroline guided me through my first BE events on three different horses, helped me deal with a serious confidence knock following an incident with a young horse, and was instrumental in helping me find my new perfect horse – in fact she wouldn’t let me buy him until she’d been able to meet and ride him!
I have been fortunate enough to disappoint Caroline regularly for a number of years now, she has piloted my Eventing career on numerous horses, and despite my apparent immunity to education, has managed to gently prod me in the right direction.
Caroline has taught me since I got a young green Irish horse 3 and a half years ago and she has trained us both to a level that we can enjoy everything we do, sometimes with success! All credit to Caroline.
I stared training with Caroline 2 years ago after buying a 4yr old Connemara from Ireland. I was stepping up from a 13’3 Native pony to a horse that had literally done nothing more than hunt twice… with Caroline’s expertise I have produced a promising event horse with a bright and exciting future in British Eventing.
